The narrative looks great. The links are very comprehensive and easy to use.
It still amazes me as we never expected this result. Yes, we hoped that at the very least that the radio (radiation treatments) might have reduced the tumours so that they did not cause any pain, and would have been happy to see a slow down in the progression from the new treatment - but to see a large number of lesions/sites "resolved" is nothing less than amazing.
Also, in case anyone asks about the PSA. What had happened was that about 1 week after the radio, Dad's PSA shot up from about 85 to 900 within a space of 2 - 3 weeks. Initially, we thought the increased PSA was due to cancer cells dying, but instead of tapering off, it kept on going up. So the docs at Sani (the hospital) said his cancer had probably spread to his organs and that the radio didn't really work.
But instead of going in for more treatment at the Sani, we got in touch with you and Dee, and Dad started taking the
LDN etc. He has been on it for a month now, and his latest PSA reading is 1400 - this is reflective (I think) of the increased activity in the primary site, but we are happy to see that the rate of increase has slowed down dramatically. We keep our fingers crossed that continued treatment will help to mitigate the activity in the prostate too ...
Let me know if there is anymore I can add to or clarify..
See you very soon - Dad is going for his accupucture on his jaw today. Once he can chew better, we'd love to catch up over dinner.
