Dear Dalejo,

Attached is a case report you can use the protocol mentioned in this case report.
Artemix is a better choice as it contains all three of the drugs (Artemisinin, Artemether, and Artesunate).
Protocols used for Indian patients is as follows:

Artemix from Wellcare (http://www.hepalin.commay be taken 3-4 hours after dinner with a cup of milk or spoonful of ice cream (without flavors or additives e.g. Brayers natural vanilla) and once a week with few spoons of yogurt (having fat, but no flavors or fruits) with live lactobacillus. The purpose of giving 3-4 hour interval after evening meal is to make sure stomach is almost empty, as the drug interacts with the iron contents of food. This 3-4 hour time interval should be used for pleasant physical and mental activities. Also, 500 mg vitamin C and 400 units of vitamin E may be taken at breakfast. After 2 months time, if there is response, artemix should be taken on alternate days for 3 to 4 months but vitamin C & E daily. Person should not have a recent history of smoking (in last 6 months) and radiations (in last 2 months). Also, person may take butyrate (http://www.e-lyte.com/downloads/SP320%20Butyrate%20100%20%202.pdf)2 to 8 capsules at the same time along with artemix, if you can tolerate.

Please calculate the dose based on Artemether content, Artemether 1 mg/kg/day for eight weeks.

The content of Artemisinin and Artesunate do not matter from toxicity point of view. That means both of these are very safe.

Good wishes,

Hello Dr. Narendra,

I've read about your studies/trials using Artemisinin and it's derivative compounds and have an interest in trying out a protocol that you might recommend.

I am female, 49 years old with cervical cancer metastasized to my lungs and I live in Hong Kong. I had the full range of conventional treatment for the primary tumors (cut, burn, poison) but 9 months later (Sep 2006) nodules were detected in my lungs and in Feb 2007, were classified as metastases, with only palliative treatment options (taxol/carboplatin).

I declined conventional medicine since no point pursuing a treatment protocol guaranteed to fail, and went alternative. I started in Feb 2007 only low dose Naltrexone (immune system booster at 4.5mg capsule nightly) and diet, which has significantly slowed the nodule growths (previously 33 day doubling rate, now about 160 day). I'm not at a serious stage yet (largest tumor is 2.5 cm) and want to try different alternative treatment protocols which are complementary to my LDN protocol (I will not stop that) that may shrink the existing tumors. I don't need a cure, just control the cancer growth and if I can get them to reduce in size, all the better.

Which leads me to want to try Artemisinin, Artemether, Artesun as suggested on Dr. Brewer's web site. If you'd like to try your treatment protocol on someone with a cancer which doesn't appear to be widely studied with Artemisinin, I'm willing.

I can order the products you recommend from http://www.hepalin.com/artemix.htm and any other supplements for your suggested protocol. I can keep detailed records and post them to you or online, as I've already done with my LDN treatment progress (that's my web site).

Looking forward to hearing from you for your guidance and will probably try Artemisinin anyway, but with some guidance, maybe can make for a more effective treatment.

Regards,
Deidre Alejo
