Hi Dee
According to my MRI( MRI due to the low level of radiation), PAP,
and other blood work such as sed rate, ferritin level, liver, as well
as tumor markers from a few other cancers (my doc did them just for
good measure) there is no active cancer in my body. The MRI shows
some pelvic fluid which has been stable over the last 3
months, but no masses anywhere. That being said in the past these
tests have not been too helpful in detecting my cancer. The only
test that indicates cancer is the AMAS test. I also have some
pain in my gluteal area which has gotten worse over the last 5 years
and one leg is a bit larger than the other.
In March when I had a CT/PET combined my EX onco. told me I had 11
months to live as there was some highlighted area in the pelvic
sidewall. However the PET did not show this.
So I fired dr death and got on LDN and a few other things. I
have been on LDN for 7 months.
I generally feel good, I do most everything I did before. I
work out and do saunas several times/week. I play soccer
with my son when the sun is out :=)). My appetite is too good and
I have a decent amount of energy.
So next week I will repeat the AMAS test and see what it may tell
me. I have a few good docs, one in particular is a wholistic
GP with a focus on nutrition who has a great deal of
knowledge working with cancer affected folks. He knows his
supplements and is very good with doing LOTS of bloodwork to keep me in
check. He seems to cover all the basis.
The oncolab will send you an AMAS kit to do the test. They
pack it in dry ice and since you live a bit further away they may need
to use a double portion of dry ice. I guess it would be a good
idea to ask them. If you would like me to, I could call
them and ask for you. Your dr will have to sign the order and
then you get your blood drawn. You have to find a lab that is
experienced in drawing them. Maybe your dr or naturopath knows
where you could have it drawn. My naturopath says the trend in
the AMAS test is a good tool to use when doing cesium.
