| The LDN regimen has the ability to slow the progression of cancer tumors as demonstrated by my own experience. Slowing down the progression with virtually no side-effects and without resorting to any chemotherapy regimen, keeps the immune system intact, allowing time to try other alternative cancer treatments that may target the cancer cells more directly. This approach recognizes the importance of a strong immune system (which is the primary benefit of LDN), to which are added complementary protocols. I call this treatment approach "LDN-centric". Three approaches that I've added to my treatment and appear to have complementary effects are: High pH Therapy operates on the principle that keeping the body slightly alkaline (pH greater than 7) will provide a more inhospitable environment for cancers to thrive. This can be achieved by maintaining a more alkaline diet, or for a short time, taking an alkaline supplement, such as Cesium Chloride (CsCl). Artemisinin is a treatment based on a non-prescription drug currently used for the treatment of malaria. The common factor between malaria and cancer, is that malaria and cancer cells have a significantly greater need for iron. Artemisinin works on the principle that active cancer cells require substantially more iron than normal cells to function. Once Artemisinin enters the cancer cell it interacts with the high concentration of iron in the cell, creating free radicals which induce apoptosis (published report from NIH). Paw Paw works on a different mechanism from Artemisinin so the two appear to be complementary. Cancer cells also require large amounts of glucose (that’s how PET scans work using radioactive glucose injected into the bloodstream) which is converted to the energy (called adenosine tryphosphate or ATP) required by the cancer cell to grow. Cancer cells require 10-17 times the ATP that a normal cell needs to thrive. Paw Paw contains naturally occurring Acetogenins - a substance which reduces ATP production in cells. For normal cells, reducing the ATP energy slightly isn’t detrimental to the cell, but for cancer cells which need 10-17 times as much ATP as a normal cell, the reduction in energy conversion can be fatal. Both Artemix and Paw Paw have been developed and researched by Doctors and PH.Ds with commercially available versions of both drugs (Artemix and Paw Paw Cell Reg™) holding patent protection. However they’re not expensive since derived from natural plants, don’t require prescriptions (marketed as dietary supplements) and can be ordered over the internet. When cells are under distress, the body's innate immune system may be better able to recognize the defective cells (uncloaking them?). If the immune system is destroyed (which happens with chemotherapy), even if the cancer tumors reduce in size somewhat, if they’re not completely destroyed, the cancer will return with a vengeance since the survivors have adapted to that chemo substance and become drug resistant (MDR). The three treatment regimens appear to have no negative interactions with each other (based on my own experience to date). High pH is essentially a diet-based approach while ART and Paw Paw are both non-toxic in the concentrations recommended by the developers. The current protocol that I'm using I've called LDN-AP, has also been used very recently by a person with advanced metastatic prostate cancer with some dramatic results after only one month on the regimen (4 instances of bone metastases disappeared). My prognosis has also improved by following the LDN-AP protocol giving me time to try direct intervention techniques on my metastatic lung cancers. With LDN slowing or preventing recurrence, then direct intervention may be worthwhile if the largest tumors can be eliminated and smaller ones prevented from growing too quickly. The current "gold standard" conventional treatment options available for stage 4B cancers (terminal) are mainly palliative: chemo or radiation. LDN-AP can make metastatic cancer a manageable disease with no side effects, even if the cancers can never be cured, which is a better outcome by any measurement standard. |
